Before you can book your practical test, you must first pass the theory test.
The test should be booked via the dvsa rather then through an unofficial website, who will charge you more than the official cost of £23.00. Ring 0300 200 1122 or book theory test
When you report for the theory test, make sure you take along your licence otherwise you will be turned away. You will lose your fee and will have to pay to rebook.
The theory test is split into two parts. 50 multiple choice questions and the hazard perception test. You must pass both parts. Failing one part will mean you will have to rebook and resit both parts again.
When you pass, you will have two years in which to pass your practical test. If you don’t manage to do this, you will need to retake your theory test.
